It's All About Vibration
@ Art Center College of Design
Monday, November 12, 2012
Flea meets Matt, Hendrix meets Bach, and Coltrane meets Vivaldi. Equally at home in Carnegie Hall or a gig at the corner bar, Matt Haimovitz, a pioneer cellist joins with grunge bass prodigy Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, a prize-winning scientist from Caltech, and musicians of MUSE/IQUE to explore vibration: the center of all life. Our gathering place is the stunningly creative campus of Art Center, one of the premiere design schools in the world.
- Hear a brilliant Caltech scientist Sean Carroll talk about the preposterous notion of vibration.
- Find out what our National Anthem, Jimi Hendrix style, sounds like on Matt's 300 year old Venetian cello - made before our nation was born.
Art Center College of Design, 1700 Lida Street, Pasadena, California 91103
