Quincy Jones is a changemaker, who used his undeniable talent as a musician to seize and demand opportunities, often as the first and only Black man in the room and often in the face of blatant racism.
Quincy Jones is a pioneer, collecting such accolades and titles as arranger, author, composer, conductor, film producer, instrumentalist, magazine founder, record company executive, and television producer in more than seven decades of work. His impressive list of collaborators and credits spans genres (pop, jazz, bossa nova) and mediums (movies, musicals, and more).
His tenacious commitment to his craft and fierce conviction as an artist is the reason he broke through so many once-impenetrable barriers, and the reason so many artists today stand on his shoulders. That is power.
Artistic Director Rachael Worby is joined on stage by the inimitable Brandon Victor Dixon and Sara Niemietz (vocals) and the magnificent MUSE/IQUE orchestra to bring to life the wide-ranging career of this prolific and powerful producer.
From pop megahits like Lesley Gore's "It's My Party" and Michael Jackson's "Human Nature", to sprawling, lush compositions from In the Heat of The Night to The Color Purple, we'll rock the historic Biltmore Bowl with all things Q!
BRANDON VICTOR DIXON, VOCALS
Brandon Victor Dixon is an Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award Nominated Actor, Producer, and Social advocate. He has produced multiple works including the Tony Award-winning Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Neil Patrick Harris. Brandon has also performed in numerous Broadway shows like Hamilton, The Color Purple, and Motown The Musical. We are so excited to welcome back Brandon to the MUSE/IQUE stage for this performance!

Sara Niemietz is an singer/songwriter and actress based in Los Angeles. she has starred on Broadway (Carol Burnett’s Hollywood Arms), appeared in television and film (Akeelah and the Bee, Glee), recorded vocals for many scores and projects, released four albums, sang in Times Square before 50,000 people, the Grand Ole Opry, Radio City Music Hall, the California Governor's Ball and spent countless venues worldwide.
